Ling time, no post *guilty*

It's been a while since I have posted - Naughty Rosie! I've been busy doing nothing :P

It's okat, though, the nothing-doing stops tomorrow: I'm starting my new job. It's at CGU Insurance. I'm still uncertain about that, being insurance and all. :/ Hmmm... oh well, I'm sure it will be fine. It's only to pay the bills and all that.

My cousin James has decided to move over here to Sydney from Perth, though he won't be here until the end of the year. I think I'm a trend-setter! Teeheehee. *Rolls eyes at self*.

I have a love-hate relationship with Sydney weather. When it's sunny or raining, I completely love it. When it's overcast, cold and miserable I hate it. I'm hating it right now. My fingers feel like they are going to fall off :(

Oh well, I suppose I should go and iron things so that I have something to wear tomorrow. I don't know what kind of impression I'd make if I turned up in just my underwear. It would probably be the wrong one. I think ;)

I'll try to reply more quickly next time :P

How am I meant to give my journal entries a subject? What a silly convention!

I was going to post last night, but I didn't get around to it :P

Yesterday I went into the city. I love doing that here, there are so many places to go and so many things to see. In Perth it's about a two-block stretch either side of the Murray and Hay St Malls. *Rolls eyes*. Galen came with me, which was lovely. ^_^

We discovered a store called Sugar Fix, which speaks for itself, really. I bought about $10 worth of Jelly Belly Jelly Beans because they're the second-yummiest candy next to Candy Corn! And because they had all of the special dispenser-canisters set up to look to pretty. I'm a sucker for anything pretty :P I also, at Galen's direction, picked up some proper English Toffee. Yum. Just "yum."

I'm eating a Chocolate Pudding Jelly Belly right now. God it's good!

We went to the Rocks markets, which are lovely, and I had proper pink lemonade :D We strolled around and looked at all the pretties for a while. Just for the record, I love The Rocks, I really do. It's got to be about the pinnacle of Aussie culture to be able to just stand there and take in the Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House in one go! I love it! ^_^

We headed over to Paddy's Markets, which were great - and HUGE!- and I'll probably head back there today to pick up some socks :P I'm all out! We had a look at Market City as well, which was pretty cool. And big. Everything here is big.

I was going to post this last night, but I wasn't feeling very well at all - I ended up with a sore back and neck which gave me a terrible headache. I was all nautious and photo-sensitive and everything. Not nice :( I couldn't even eat my dinner. I slept for a couple of hours earlier in the evening, and went back to sleep later. I woke up this morning feeling much better, too. So I thought I'd write this rather aimless post :P

Oh well, I have to do washing!

See you soon x

First Entry Evers ^_^

Hello my friends :D

Here is my very first entry. I figured that I should just go ahead and give in to this LJ thing - Galen writes in it all the time, it looks like fun, and I figured that it was probably inevitable. I'm easy prey for the technological - I'll give anything a stab :P

Hmmm... Well there isn't really a great deal for me to write in as yet.

Most of you are my new friends and will know that I only recently moved here, to Sydney, from Perth, where I grew up. All of my family is there, and I know (or knew) very, very few people before I came here. It's more than a little scary, and at the moment I'm fighting a little to stay afloat. This city is huge and intoxicating, and I feel very very small here. It's liberating, though. *Shrugs* I love it, but I'm worried - I'm looking for work, and I need a decent job to be able to support myself. There are plenty of jobs going, so it's just a matter or time, I suppose :)

Oh, I have to add to this entry that I have a Chickey. For the official definition visit Galen's journal, he made an entry to the effect. It's on my chin, and I look like someone caught me with a nicely-placed left hook :P Except that it's only little. About the size of a five-cent piece. It's Galen's fault, so I think he should explain :P

That should be enough for now, I'll add more soon.

Thanks again for reading this :D

*waves*
